
Pineapple, a large juicy tropical fruit consisting of aromatic edible yellow flesh surrounded by a tough segmented skin and topped with a tuft of stiff leaves.
Jar with rice, broccoli, pineapple, garlic, onion, curry and tofu
Ingredients
100 g rice
1 red onion
2 cloves of garlic
50 g broccoli
50 g pineapple
1 tsp curry powder
50 g tofu cubes (spicy)
Instructions
Boil the rice for around 15 minutes. In the meantime chop the onion and garlic and add to a pan. Cut the broccoli and place on the side.
Do the same with the pineapple. You can use fresh or canned pineapple, fresh is most tasteful however.
Start boiling water in a pan and add the broccoli for five minutes when the water boils. In these five minutes fry the onion and garlic till ready and place on the side. Thereafter fry the tofu and place in a bowl.
When the rice and broccoli are ready, drain the water. Add the curry to the rice and stir. Now you can start adding all the ingredients to the jar. Start with the rice followed by the tofu, garlic & onion, pineapple and top off with the broccoli.
You can take your jar with you to work or during a day out and enjoy your healthy meal whenever you like.
